Cannon Elley, LMT

Massage Therapy / Craniosacral Therapy Specialist

Elley (they/she) merges their 15 years of experience in the social work/education field with a lifelong interest in bodies and how they work. A former collegiate athlete-turned-rock-climbing-hobbyist, she has always had a deep respect for the complexity and wisdom of the body, and her approach to massage therapy reflects that.

Elley studied massage at East West College of the Healing Arts and Advanced Craniosacral Therapy at Moving Mountain Institute. As someone who has navigated seemingly inexplicable chronic pain, she enjoys the puzzling and quantum nature of the body’s signals. They will work with clients to unpack the clues that their body is giving them, and use the information to form a treatment plan. The belief at the core of all of her work is that the body already knows how to heal itself, and she is here to help you find your way back to that innate healing wisdom. Their style includes craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, cupping, and gua sha. Elley is particularly curious about concussion recovery, hypermobility, chronic pain, and highly sensitive systems.

While she originally hails from a small town in the redwoods of CA, she has also lived in places as disparate as Boston, Egypt, Jordan, and Oakland. They lead educational trips to Morocco every year in the spring, so please forgive their occasional 2-3 week absence. They have called Portland home since 2016 and live in the SE neighborhood with their chosen family of people and animals. Elley is passionate about fantasy and sci-fi, psychedelic therapy, and dance..

OFFERINGS

  • Massage therapy involves the manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to alleviate tension, relieve stress, and improve circulation. Lynn combines her extensive training in multiple bodywork modalities to provide a personalized and therapeutic experience for each client.

  • 60 or 90 Minut - Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on balancing the central nervous system through subtle touch.

By working with the craniosacral rhythm (the movement of fluid around the brain and spinal cord), this therapy helps to release tension, promote relaxation, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

During a session, you will remain fully clothed while Elley communicates each step in the process. She uses light, non-invasive touch on the head, neck, spine and pelvis. Craniosacral Therapy is often seen as a gentle but powerful way to promote deep relaxation and support overall well-being.

Many individuals who experience this treatment report feeling a significant reduction in stress and relief from pain. It can be especially helpful for those dealing with headaches, neck pain, anxiety, or emotional distress, offering a nurturing space for healing and comfort.

  • Our clinic focuses on holistic care, approaching Motor Vehicle Collision Care with an integrative mindset. We recognize that each individual may benefit from personalized treatment, which is why our practitioners can work with you either one-on-one or collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Our comprehensive services include manual therapy, chiropractic care, craniosacral therapy, and acupuncture, all aimed at relieving pain, restoring mobility, and enhancing overall recovery after an automobile accident.
