Community Healing Project

Join Sivan for small-group acupuncture & qigong

Bump up your self-care with the Community Healing Project, small-group acupuncture and qigong sessions offered on Thursdays, 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Portland Healing Space acupuncturist Sivan Dirks has pioneered this unique and powerful program as an antidote to our stressful times. Space is limited to 8, so please call to reserve your spot in advance. Please wear comfortable clothing. 

All ability levels are welcome – Sivan will lead you through gentle and easy-to-follow movements. The class focuses on combining breath, movement and awareness to calm the mind, release blockages and restore balance from within. To close each session, you’ll enjoy a bit of acupuncture to deepen the experience of happiness, relaxation and wellbeing.

In case you’re unfamiliar with it, Qigong is an ancient Chinese healing modality that has been practiced for over 3000 years. Put simply, it’s the practice of cultivating energy. Qi refers to the vital force that makes up everyone and everything in this world and beyond. Gong means work, cultivation, practice and achievement through great effort. Together they describe a system for building body, mind, and spirit.

Qigong and acupuncture are both known for helping us reconnect with our inner self and awaken our body’s innate abilities to restore health, balance and inner peace.
